The Dinosaurs are Breeding

We ride a landcruiser next and there was a tour of the park. It's really boring but we saw a sick stegosaur. Regis said they need gizzard stones every 6 weeks and always get sick by poisoned (maybe). Grant bend down and see the stones. He spoke somethiong that caught my mind. He said it was pieces of shell from a dinosaur eggs. The dinosaurs are breeding.

Computer does Everything

We went back to the Control Room and John Arnold show us how to control Jurassic Park. He pressed a key in the keyboard and blue lines show up. He told us it was the movement of the dinosaurs. He also told us it was impossible for a dinosaur to escape because there is video cameras an the computer checks the different species of dinosaurs. If an animal dies, the computer will tell. Arnold also show us some height distribution of some compys. I was really worried even if Arnold said that the system runs with generator and there is an emergency generator too so the electric fences will work. Then, we went away. 

How to make a Dinosaur

After meeting Tim and Lex, we went into the lab. We met a chief genetics named Dr. Henry Wu. We also meet the park warden Robert Muldoon and John Arnold, the chief engineer. Dr. Wu explained how to make the dinosaurs. He said that we need amber to make it. I don't understand what's the connection between amber and making dinosaurs. Dr. Wu talked again.  This is what he said. Amber is the dried sap from trees that has been fossilized. Sometimes, before it's fossilized, it caught animals like mosquitoes or other insects inside. The mosquitoes sometimes just have feed on the dinosaur's blood. We can pierce through the amber and take the dinosaur's DNA. After that, we can use the powerful Hood gene sequencers and Cray XMP computers to add missing DNA's to the dinosaur's DNA. He showed us the screen with tiny pieces of dinosaur DNA. Sometimes, there are holes in the DNA. The computers will check them and fill them with more DNA. The dinosaur embryos will later be placed in special eggs. Easy.

 I don't know where they got the idea and who's smart idea it is to make dinosaurs. But one thing I know is dinosaurs aren't supposed to live in the 21st century. Grant asked can the dinosaur breed? Dr. Wu just said that we make them all female so they can't. I was immediately thinking what DNA they used to repair the dinosaur's DNA. It is highly possible they used the DNA of some animals that can change from male to female or female to male. But because I'm not so sure, I'm just going to shut up. Then, we saw a very large generator. We heard footsteps an saw a head of a dark yellow dinosaur with brown stripes. It was an adult raptor. It attacked us but hit a fence. 2 more attacked but just got electrified by the fence. Those animals wanted to kill us and they realized killing human are easy. These dinosaur are smart.

Tim and Lex Murphy

2 children came out of the helicopter. They introduced themselves as Tim and Lex Murphy. Tim is the older brother of Lex. They said that they were Hammond's grandchildren. I was surprised why Hammond brought 2 children in a dangerous park like this. Apparently, before I started yelling at him, Gennaro cracked. He was really mad. Hammond just made an innocent face while the children was wondering why was people fussing about an he went away. Tim said to Grant, Sattler, Gennaro, and I that their mother asked them to come to this resort to spend the weekend. I wasn't very sure he knows about the dinosaurs but I  don't even know what will be the reaction when Tim and Lex found out this wasn't even close to a resort.

What is going on in this Island?? ):

We saw a tree trunk moving towards Grant. But it doesn't seemed like a tree trunk. It seemed like a dinosaur, an apatosaur. Grant was speechless. I know dinosaur aren't real so I asked Hammond are they machines. He said they were real and he made them. I thought this was just some island with a bunch of animals, but now, I get it all. I get why Hammond bought an island for an animal park, I get why he want us to check things out. I bet he's afraid that this island will crash down because of these crazy dinosaurs. Now, I'm just really mad he lied to us. I have a feeling something is strange when Hammond told us about this island and know I'm positive it's not gonna work. I mean, dinosaurs live in the Jurassic period. This is not The Jurassic Period. It's the 21st century, and someone's got to tell him that. I could already tell that he doesn't like me so I just have to keep my mouth shut and get out of the trouble. I'm just gonna do what he thinks I should do and check out this island. I don't like the feeling of this but I have no other choice. If I don't do what he says, I bet he's gonna make me Dino Dinner or something and I don't have a way out of this island anymore so it's do or die. He asked us to follow Regis to the place they will be staying The Safari Lodge. I voluntereed to stay at the Visitor's Center. Gennaro asked me questions like was the island gonna work? I asnswered all no. Then, we heard the sound of a helicopter buzzing. 

Dennis Nedry

Another man got on the helicopter when we landed in Costa Rica. Hammond said his name is Dennis Nedry. Nedry said that he was a computer expert. He said that he was going to fix the bugs in the computer system. He seemed really unfriendly. He's also fat. When he talks, he sounds like an old elephant with wrinkles and I prefer his name to be dennis Nerdy since he wear thick glasses and looks really boring.

After arond 45 minutees, I saw Isla Nublar. The island has thick fogs. Hammond told us that it is about 12km long and 5km wide. The hills are around 600km high. The helicopter than landed on top of one of the hills and a man greeted us. He introduced himself as Ed Regis, the publicity manager. He looks after visitors to the resort. We followed him walking to the foot of the hill. Suddenly, we saw something really unbelievable.....

Then, I talked to Alan Grant, the  paleontologist. He asked me about  The Chaos Theory I've been         studying. I explained to him about it and he said he understand. But  from the look of his face, I think he don't.

  Well, The Chaos Theory can only be understand by smart people so too  bad for Grant.....                

John Hammond

I met John Hammond in Dallas Airport . He is really old with wrinkles in his face. When I first met him, I asked him if he's got a problem. He said no. I thought about why I was actually asked to come here, To fix problems. But he said there was no problem in his island. Is he lying?

The Start of The Problem

Gennaro told me he has an interest in amber. He said he bought $17 million of amber. I don't see anything special about ambers because it's only dried sap of trees but I figure out that he has a reason buying it, and I think it is connected to this strange animal park. He also bought 2 Cray XMP super computers and 24 Hood Gene Sequencers to Isla Nublar. But Why?? This will be the start of a new problem and the way I see it from The Chaos Theory, it won’t turn out good.

The Island named Isla Nublar

Today, I was phoned by a lawyer who introduced himself as Donald Gennaro. He is a lawyer in InGen Company, which was one of John Hammond companies. Hammond was a famous, rich, old man, maybe around his 75s. He had bought an island named Isla Nublar, an island 160km near Costa Rica he bought 10 years ago and he turned it into a resort and animal park. He asked me to check out his animal park to see if there were any problems and he paid me $60,000. I wasn't sure why he have to buy an island to make an animal park, but I decided not to ask and see it for myself especially when he paid me so much money for an animal park. I just knew there will be problems. 

INTRODUCTION

My name is Ian Malcolm. I am a mathematician and chaos theorist. I am a university professor, but people always say I look like a rock star, probably because I always wear black from head to toe. The point is, I like black. It is a dark colour and I think it really reflects myself, especially I have dark hair. I love studying, and I always study half a day.
